Baldja is a majority Aboriginal owned Engineering contractor that operates over the Mining, Utilities, Defense, Government and Renewable sectors. Having generated 70+ Aboriginal upskilling positions since 2020 across electrical, mechanical and construction industries, engagement and participation with local Indigenous communities is embedded into the DNA of Baldja. In addition to commitments around creating employment opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Baldja commits 10% of all project profits to a separate fund; this fund is used to support wellbeing, upskilling and training for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples at Baldja. Baldja combines Engineering excellence with socially responsible business practices to deliver sustainable solutions for our clients and communities.
The Opportunity
* Remote construction site on the Dampier Peninsula (near Djarindjin), WA
* Work with a small multidisciplinary team delivering essential water infrastructure
* 2&1 FIFO roster (flexibility on roster will be considered for locals that apply)
* Approximate 6-8 months project duration
* Strong focus on safety, quality and collaboration with local communities
Key Responsibilities
* Electrical installation and commissioning on large-scale infrastructure projects
* Maintain compliance with all safety, environmental, and quality standards
* Support project delivery across multiple energy transition initiatives
* Work collaboratively with supervisors, engineers, and construction teams
Qualifications & Experience (or willingness to obtain)
o WA Electrical Licence (essential)
o Current Driver's Licence
o Construction White Card
o Working at Heights certification
o LVR/CPR & current First Aid Certificate
o High Risk Licence (EWP)
o Previous FIFO experience (preferred)
o Ability to pass a pre-employment medical and drug & alcohol screen
o Two contactable work-related references
o Ability to meet site Drug & Alcohol testing requirements
o Proven project experience
