The Cairns and Hinterland Hospital and Health Service covers a large geographic area with a diverse and growing population. One of those important services is the Palliative Service Care Team, providing focussed wellbeing and quality of life care of people with limiting illness and their carers and utilises a wide range of support.
About your opportunity:
In this position you will…..
* Co-ordinate and support delivery of the Cairns Community Palliative Care Service, Gordonvale Hospital.
* Provide effective and efficient management of service in collaboration with the Integrated Palliative Care Service, Nursing Director, Nurse Practitioner Palliative Care, Nurse Unit Manager Gordonvale Hospital and clinical and non-clinical staff to facilitate the provision of quality evidence-based care.
* Follows the defined NSQHS standards (second edition), CHHHS Clinical Governance Framework, Occupational Health and Safety policies and procedures relating to the work being undertaken within the role to ensure high quality, safe services and workplaces.
