Role Summary:
DevelopmentWA is seeking a welcoming and professional Receptionist to be the friendly face of our organisation. As the office ‘host’, you will play a key role in creating a positive first impression for all staff and visitors. Working closely with the Office Manager, you’ll help deliver a range of front-of-house and office support services that ensure our workplace runs smoothly and reflects our high standards.
This is a permanent, part-time position, working the afternoon shift (12:30pm - 5:00pm), is ideal for someone who enjoys providing exceptional service, thrives in a people-focused position, and takes pride in contributing to a welcoming and well-organised office environment.
Salary range: $77,991 - $83,676 (pro-rata) per annum + superannuation.
Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Greet clients and visitors, assist with sign-in, issue passes/lanyards, and ensure a positive first impression aligned with our brand.
* Provide business lounge services including refreshments, reading materials, Wi-Fi and charging support, cloakroom assistance, and local transport info.
* Manage incoming calls and general reception inbox, responding to queries or redirecting as needed.
* Oversee office sign-in systems, security passes, and locker allocations (including onboarding/offboarding support).
* Coordinate couriers, pool car bookings, and meeting room reservations.
* Maintain front-of-house meeting rooms, including setup, pack down, hospitality services, tech support, and equipment fault reporting.
* Ensure kitchen areas and tea prep zones are clean, stocked, and well-presented throughout the day.
* Run and empty dishwashers as needed; liaise with cleaners on end-of-day duties.
* Monitor and replenish office supplies including milk, stationery, kitchen items, and newspapers.
* Manage vehicle bookings and detailing roster and assist with fleet servicing requests.
* Continuously improve and update reception procedures, guides, and emergency contact manuals.
About you:
* Confident, well spoken with excellent presentation.
* Interpersonal skills with a strong focus on customer service.
* Good telephone technique, computer skills and reception experience.
* Organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to deal with conflicting demands.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
* Balances demands, copes well with interruptions and disturbances, and switches between tasks effectively.
* Experience operating a busy office or front-of-house area desirable.
