About the Role
The Program Manager is a key position in our organization, responsible for providing high-level management and oversight of multidisciplinary services across the Lara Precinct.
The successful candidate will have expertise in clinical or forensic mental health practice, including forensic assessments and interventions. They will also have experience in managing and leading teams, as well as providing strategic advice on service development and practice.
This role requires strong leadership and management skills, as well as the ability to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders. The successful candidate will be able to provide high-level advice on emerging issues in forensic mental health within prison services.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage and lead the implementation and operation of services at the Lara Precinct (WPCC, Barwon Prison, Marngoneet Correctional Centre, and Kareenga)
* Set service directions as part of the Forensicare prison management team
* Provide high-level advice to Operations Manager and Executive Director of Prison Operations on emerging issues in forensic mental health
* Coordinate the delivery of services at the Lara Precinct and regional clinics
Required Skills and Qualifications:
This is a multidisciplinary role that requires either nursing, occupational therapy, or social work qualifications. The successful candidate will need to have a postgraduate qualification in their chosen field, as well as significant experience in working with mentally disordered clients in a forensic mental health setting.
They will also need to have excellent supervision and investment in the skill development of all team members, as well as a proven ability to liaise and consult with internal and external service providers, partners, and stakeholders.
