About the Role
Located approximately 150km south‐west of Townsville, the Mt Carlton Gold Mine forms part of Queensland's historic Charters Towers goldfield. As operations ramp up under new leadership, this site is entering an exciting new phase of production, offering strong opportunities for experienced maintenance professionals.
We are seeking experienced Leading Hand Fitters with strong mobile plant experience to join the maintenance team and play a key role in maintaining the site's mobile assets. This is an opportunity to secure a position on a growing operation as it gains momentum.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily maintenance activities
* Provide technical guidance and hands‐on support to the team
* Ensure compliance with safety systems and procedures
* Plan and prioritise work to meet operational targets
* Complete reporting and maintenance documentation
About You
* Trade qualified Heavy Diesel or Mobile Plant Fitter
* Demonstrated experience in a Leading Hand or supervisory capacity
* Strong knowledge of mining mobile plant – CAT, Hitachi, Liebherr
* Proven commitment to safety and team leadership
* Excellent communication and organisational skills
