Job Summary
Zerella Fresh is seeking experienced Production Horticulture Supervisors to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in horticultural operations and farm management.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Crop Management: Prepare soil, tile, plant, fertilize, and harvest crops.
* Team Supervision: Coordinate and supervise the work of general farm workers and labourers.
* Operations Oversight: Carry out and oversee the planting program, supervise and oversee growing and other crop-related operations.
* Equipment Maintenance: Coordinate seed production and seed sourcing, purchase and inventory equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks.
Requirements
* Education: Diploma in a relevant field, plus at least 1 year of relevant experience or at least 3 years of relevant experience.
* Experience: Experience in horticultural operations/farm management.
* Skills: Basic mechanical knowledge and experience working with large-scale agricultural machinery, unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence, Chemical User Certificate Accreditation, Forklift licence, HC licence, cultural adaptability, willingness to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, ability and willingness to undertake manual and sometimes physical work, ability and willingness to work outdoors in all kinds of weather conditions.
