Honour Care is seeking a confident, patient, and reliable male Support Worker to assist an independent NDIS client in the Loganlea area. The role focuses on community access, mobility support, and respectful assistance with daily living tasks.
Key Responsibilities
* Support the client during community outings (shopping, appointments, recreational activities)
* Assist with mobility, including folding and unfolding the wheelchair
* Engage in friendly, supportive conversation and monitor client comfort
* Provide respectful assistance with personal care tasks when requested and with consent
* Light household tasks such as taking out bins or general tidying
* Maintain safety, professionalism, and calm communication at all times
What We're Looking For
* Male support worker (client preference)
* Calm, patient, confident, and able to handle direct/blunt communication
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills
* Able to work independently and follow client preferences
* Reliable, punctual, and respectful
* Comfortable driving and assisting with community access
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III in Individual Support (or working towards / equivalent)
* Current First Aid & CPR
* NDIS Worker Screening Check
* Working with Children Check (Blue Card) – preferred
* Driver's licence + reliable vehicle
* Comprehensive car insurance
* NDIS Orientation Module
* 100 points of ID
