Job Description
IPAR is seeking individuals with a professional background in Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Osteopathy or Occupational Therapy for a role in Occupational Rehabilitation in Launceston.
Day‐to‐day responsibilities include:
* Case management with manageable caseloads and support from Rehabilitation Assistants.
* Applying clinical knowledge to improve return‐to‐work outcomes and collaborating with employers and employees to develop injury prevention and workplace education programs.
* Working collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical and allied health professionals across schemes such as workers' compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance, Comcare, Department of Veteran's Affairs and employer‐funded injury prevention programs.
* Assisting those with injury or health condition to achieve return to health and work outcomes.
* Completing assessments—initial, workplace and vocational—to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities for workers who have sustained workplace injuries or motor vehicle accident injuries.
This opportunity offers exposure to IPAR's innovative pain education program, 'Re‐thinking Recovery', which uses virtual reality and modern pain science to help clients understand pain and retrain their brain and body in collaboration with the treating team.
Qualifications
* Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy, Osteopathy, Exercise Physiology or Occupational Therapy.
* Full Professional Registration with AHPRA, full professional accreditation with ESSA, or eligibility to obtain.
* Previous experience in Occupational Rehabilitation highly regarded.
* Strong communication and time‐management skills.
* Compassion, kindness and empathy.
* Valid Driver's License and access to personal vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
