We're seeking an experienced editor to join our dynamic Energy and Commodities team. You'll be responsible for coverage across agriculture, metals, trade wars, and mergers and acquisitions.
The successful candidate will be a team player with solid news judgement, able to pivot quickly between different topics and geographies. Based in Australia, you'll work closely with colleagues across Asia and sectors, requiring a proven ability to collaborate and coach young talent.
Key Responsibilities:
* Produce high-quality edits that resonate with diverse audiences
* Innovate story formats while promoting diversity and representation
* Make timely and critical judgements to identify key stories and gaps in coverage
* Collaborate with teams, bureaus, and continents to deliver breaking news and global perspectives
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in business journalism as a reporter or editor
* Experience working in real-time news environments
* Ability to craft concise and clean prose under deadline
* Interest in energy, commodities, and climate coverage
* Proficiency in both spoken and written English
