OH&S Coordinator / Operations Support – FIFO

Trench West is seeking an experienced & motivated safety professional to support our operations across mine sites (predominantly Fortescue) in the North West of Western Australia. This role is ideally suited to someone currently working in the mining or construction sector who is looking to move into a smaller team environment. As an intentionally smaller organisation, every team member plays an important role in the success of the business and is valued for their contribution.
This role is primarily responsible for managing and supporting our Occupational Health & Safety systems across site operations but will also offer variety, as general operations support is also required. We value people who are adaptable, proactive, and willing to contribute across multiple areas of the business when required.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring our safety systems, documentation and compliance requirements are maintained to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain company OH&S systems and safety documentation
- Ensure compliance with client and site safety requirements
- Conduct risk assessments, safety inspections and incident reporting
- Support audits, investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Provide operational support across projects as required
- Assist with both field and office-based tasks when needed
About You
- Relevant OH&S qualifications or certifications
- Previous safety experience within the mining or construction industry
- Strong understanding of workplace health and safety systems and practices
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a small team environment
- Flexible and willing to assist across various operational duties
- Strong communication and organisational skills
Highly Regarded
- Cert IV Work Health & Safety
- Past experience on Fortescue sites / Familiarity with Fortescue safety systems and requirements
- Previous FIFO experience
