JB Contracting is a rapidly growing contractor servicing the Mining and Civil Earthworks Industry across the Goldfields and Pilbara regions of Western Australia.

The Opportunity
Beyond day-to-day leadership, this role is about ownership. The foundations are in place — systems, people and equipment — and we're looking for a leader who can bring it all together. You'll set direction, establish strong operating rhythms, develop people, and drive operational excellence while maintaining a sharp customer focus.
You'll work closely with the General Manager and leadership team to shape how JB delivers for its clients as the business continues to scale.
The role is based in Kalgoorlie on a 5 & 2 roster, with relocation assistance available for the right candidate ready to take on this key position.
Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
* Working closely with the Operations Leadership Team to set and maintain clear expectations, ensuring all field personnel deliver exceptional results for our clients using best-practice safety management systems and compliance platforms.
* Acting as a proactive member of the leadership team, driving change, developing practical solutions, and seeing them through to delivery.
* Supporting the General Manager with business development activities in a growing operation, ensuring the right people, plant and systems are in place to deliver on new and existing contracts while maximising utilisation.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
* Previous management experience in a blue-collar environment such as mining services, contracting, construction and/or earthworks.
* Proven leadership experience with a strong focus on coaching and mentoring teams to achieve safe, productive outcomes.
* A lateral thinker who enjoys problem-solving, anticipates challenges, and takes initiative to drive results.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to share information clearly, both verbally and in writing.
* The ability to work under pressure and effectively prioritise competing demands.
* A positive approach to change, with the ability to bring others along in a fast-changing environment.
* Demonstrated experience involving teams in decision-making where plans and outcomes affect them.
