Are you ready to step up and lead? We're looking for a hands‐on, motivated Mechanical Leading Hand to join our team. Based in Rockhampton and reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll play a vital role in overseeing the repair and rebuild of radiators and cooling components for heavy mining equipment.
As our new Leading Hand, you will:
* Lead and mentor a small team.
* Ensure the smooth repair, rebuild, and remanufacture of cooling components for mobile mining equipment.
* Be hands‐on with a mix of planning, quality control, and technical work.
* Work on top‐tier brands like Caterpillar, Komatsu, Liebherr and Hitachi.
* Support continuous improvement and innovative practices.
* Help us exceed our customers' expectations for component availability and productivity.
What we need from you:
* A mechanical trade qualification (fitter, mechanic, boilermaker or similar).
* A can‐do attitude with a knack for problem‐solving.
* Solid communication skills – teamwork makes the dream work!
* Experience with mobile mining equipment or heavy industry? Big tick
