We serve commercial, institutional, and industrial clients with large-scale facilities and mission critical operations.
The Assistant Project Manager participates in managing project financials, risk management, and client relations.
Occasional travel is required.
This position reports to the VP of Operations for Mid Atlantic.
Patuxent Roofing and Contracting, LLC Assistant PM's participate in planning, and controlling every stage (from pre-construction, through completion) of roofing installations or repairs to commercial properties for multiple concurrent construction projects.
Assistant project managers plan and designate project resources, prepare budgets, monitor progress and keep upper management informed the entire way.
Assistant project managers will manage multiple projects of different sizes and complexities.Duties/Responsibilities:Works with an interdepartmental team to ensure that assigned projects are completed on time, to specifications, and with accuracy and efficiency.Outlines the tasks involved in the project; performing and delegating those accordingly.Conducts cost analysis, estimating expected costs for the project.Prepares and implements a budget based on estimates.Conducts risk assessments; reports identified risks to management; provides recommendations for mitigation of risk (including termination of the project if appropriate).Addresses questions, concerns, and/or complaints throughout the project.Acts as a liaison between company, customers, and vendors.Ensures compliance with federal, state, local, industry, contractual, and company regulations, standards, specifications, and best practices.Performs other related duties as assigned.Identify opportunities within the estimates to outperform estimated cost and coordinate with the project management and production teams.Participate in job completion financial analysis, track performance metrics and bid results.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.Knowledge of cost accounting principles.Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
