About the Opportunity
BAE Systems Australia has an exciting new position available for a Firmware Engineer to join our Surveillance and Communications business unit in Adelaide's defence precinct. As part of this team, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining hardware supporting mission-critical defence radar systems.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and develop VHDL firmware for next-generation hardware
* Maintain current product line and provide engineering support for hardware and firmware
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mentoring junior engineers
* Undertake product-level testing and hardware integration activities
* Produce detailed design and test documentation to meet contractual project requirements
About You
* You have experience in Intel FPGA VHDL firmware development cycles
* Proficiency in Modelsim/Questasim Advanced Simulator and TCL scripting
* Familiarity with TCP/IP and network protocols
* Experience with debugging tools like SignalTap
* A Defence security clearance or eligibility to obtain
* Eligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulations
