Key responsibilities and requirements
Eligible for registration in the category of Registered Nurse by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
Advanced clinical skills and nursing practice within the Outpatients setting.
Well-developed written and verbal communication skills, and computer skills.
Ability to coordinate appropriate strategies in respect to change within the department clinic list requirements and staffing levels.
Commitment to ongoing professional development of self and colleagues.
Position Profile
Advanced level of nursing skills and a commitment to developing both own and others' knowledge within an Outpatients Department.
Responsible for maintaining standards of nursing practice and monitoring patient care delivered within the designated area of responsibility.
Promotes and maintains collaborative relationships with peers, visitors, medical staff and other members of the healthcare team.
Assists in the management of human and material resources, budget monitoring and environmental safety.
Accepts responsibility for personal actions and is accountable for own practice.

Area Profile
WACHS Kimberley is the northernmost health region of WACHS.
The Kimberley region has approximately 200 Aboriginal communities, over 34 different Aboriginal language groups and 45 percent of the population are Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people.
WACHS Kimberley consists of six hospitals, an inpatient mental health unit, three Community Directorates and a Corporate Office.
WACHS Kimberley provides hospital, community health, public health, remote area health, community aged care, and mental health services across the region through a dedicated team of medical, nursing, Aboriginal health, allied health, and support staff.
