Project Engineer Job Description
The Project Engineer will play a key role in the success of our construction project, overseeing design, planning, procurement and programming requirements to ensure construction activities are delivered safely and on time.
Key responsibilities include:
* Overseeing contractors, including assigning tasks and assisting with contract reviews.
* Spending time in the field working with supervisors and supply chain to deliver to plan, problem-solving as required.
* Coordinating and administering construction engineering activities to ensure that project plans are implemented in accordance with designs and specifications.
* Monitoring construction progress for the area of work against programme and budget, reporting to the line manager.
* Providing direction and supervision for Site Engineers and any direct reports, as required.
About you:
* Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering Discipline (Civil) or Construction Management.
* Minimum of 5 years' construction/engineering project experience.
* An understanding of design, specifications, managing subcontractors, providing technical direction, issue resolution, providing quality assurance, producing site reports.
* Familiar with the Defence Estate Handover Takeover processes (desirable).
