With a renewed focus on culture, collaboration, and community outcomes, the organisation is committed to continuous improvement, capability uplift, and strong local governance.As Manager Governance, Property and Risk, you'll lead a multidisciplinary team spanning procurement, risk, property, and governance functions, with responsibility for maintaining and enhancing Council's internal frameworks and statutory obligations.
This includes oversight of the internal audit program, risk registers, complaints handling, fleet management, FOI, Privacy, and Public Interest Disclosure responsibilities, and the provision of expert advice to Councillors and the Executive on complex legislative and compliance matters.Reporting directly to the General Manager Corporate Performance, this role is central to delivering Council's strategic governance priorities, particularly in the context of supporting councillors, legacy process challenges, and embedding a proactive, values-aligned working culture.
Key priorities in the first 12 months will include supporting the CEO, councillors, and GM with trusted advice, and leading a cultural and service capability review.
