Job Description:
The opportunity: Plan and lead all construction activities in alignment with project delivery schedule and activities to ensure cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
How you'll make an impact:
* Plan project construction activities with Project Manager including necessary local resources, equipment, and milestones. Coordinate agreement between customer and external resources on construction targets, health and safety requirements, site organization, and policy. Develop project Construction Plan and participate in Construction Risk Assessment Workshop (CRAW), HAZOPs, and other project related workshops.
* Coordinate on-site construction activities from receiving the assigned site area to handover to the end customer on completion day, ensuring successful execution of start-up, construction, erection, testing and commissioning activities in alignment with contract specifications, quality standards, schedule, and safety requirements.
* Serve as a project representative by building and maintaining effective relationships with customers as well as local authorities and suppliers to ensure active support of field activities. Evaluate, finalize, and manage sub-contractors to meet delivery date and standards.
* Control project cost for the construction work, monitor actual spending against forecasts, and estimate final cost. Ensure all documentation is updated and the document handling system is maintained with latest revisions for on-site work.
* Ensure the area of responsibility is organized, staffed, skilled, and directed. Guide, motivate and develop direct and indirect reports within HR policies. Coordinate local accommodation, site facilities, office equipment, petty cash, etc.
* Aid Sales and Tendering in developing tenders and proposals, defining scope of work, construction programs and schedules, construction costing, assessment of requirement specifications, risk workshops.
* Assist Supply Chain Management in assessing and auditing suppliers. Assess supplier offers against tender/project scope and requirements. Undertake international assignments supporting Asia Hub projects within the Asia Hub regional area.
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background:
* Bachelor's degree in engineering or alternative tertiary equivalent or Electrical / Mechanical Trade Certificate.
* 5+ years of Site/Construction Management experience including large and complex greenfield and brownfield projects.
* Proficiency with MS Word and Excel with demonstrated planning and people management skills.
