Your new company
A leading government agency is seeking an experienced Risk Analyst to support the uplift of its enterprise risk management capabilities. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to the enhancement of risk systems, frameworks and culture in a high-impact environment.
Your new role
As a Risk Analyst at the EL1/EL2 level, you will play a key role in strengthening the agency's risk function. You'll lead the review and development of risk artefacts, facilitate workshops, and deliver strategic uplift initiatives aligned with best practice standards including ISO 31000 and the Commonwealth Risk Management Policy.
Key responsibilities include:
* Reviewing and updating risk policy and management arrangements
* Developing and implementing a risk uplift strategy and roadmap
* Facilitating risk workshops and supporting governance reporting
* Enhancing risk tools, guidance materials and enterprise risk assessments
* Providing recommendations on workforce planning and resourcing
* Supporting knowledge transfer and capability building across the team
What you'll need to succeed
In addition to the below, this role requires the ability to obtain and maintain a minimum Baseline security clearance.
* Proven experience in risk management within government or large organisations
* Strong understanding of ISO 31000 and Commonwealth risk frameworks
* Excellent stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills
* Ability to deliver strategic uplift initiatives and drive cultural change
* High-level written communication skills, including governance reporting
* Strong cultural capability, particularly in working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples
