Senior Engineer (Core Web)
CoStar Group (NASDAQ: CSGP) is a leading global provider of commercial and residential real estate information, analytics, and online marketplaces. Domain, a property technology and services marketplace, was acquired by CoStar Group in 2025. The Senior Engineer drives high‐quality software development and innovation, serving as a key driver of technical direction within the Core Web Squad.
Responsibilities
* Architect and implement scalable, high‐performant user interfaces using React, TypeScript, and Next.js.
* Write, review, and maintain code that aligns with the broader Domain strategy.
* Lead the development of complex features, mentor junior team members, and champion frontend quality standards.
* Continuously improve performance metrics and Core Web Vitals (INP, LCP, TTFB, CLS).
* Contribute to system health and technical debt backlog, driving engineering efficiency for owned services.
* Participate in cross‐domain forums such as the FrontEnd Guild and Architecture Guild, collaborating with Principal Engineers on system improvements.
* Fulfil on‐call duties, respond to incidents, and proactively maintain, update, and patch systems.
Qualifications
* Deep expertise in ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Next.js.
* Strong understanding of modern architectural patterns, including Microfrontends, SPA, and SSR.
* Experience troubleshooting and improving Core Web Vitals (INP, LCP, TTFB, CLS).
* Familiarity with GraphQL (queries, mutations, and schema design).
* Proficiency with both OOP and functional programming paradigms.
* Hands‐on experience with AI coding assistants, CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), and Git version control.
* Experience with AWS services (ECS, Lambda, CloudWatch) and containerization (Docker).
* Experience designing software solutions for high‐scale, high‐traffic websites.
* Experience working in Agile environments and effective collaboration with Product, Design, and Technology teams.
* Proven ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.
Experience and Education
* 4+ years of professional engineering experience in frontend development.
* 3+ years of experience with React, TypeScript, and Next.js in production environments.
* Background in performance optimization and monitoring for web applications.
* Experience with CI/CD, container orchestration, and cloud infrastructure.
