- To manage the daily operations of Narynna Heritage Museum and support the Council of the Narryna Heritage Museum with the delivery of a range of strategic and operational plans. Importantly, to manage the development of revenue generating initiatives to ensure the long
- term sustainability of Narynna. Further, to coordinate the management and care of the Narryna collections located at Narryna in collaboration with TMAG staff. (the collections, particularly the 19C costume collection for which the overall responsibility for their management rests with the Narryna Council)We are a diverse and inclusive workplace that understands the importance of flexibility. **Period of Appointment**:
Appointment to the role is on a fixed term part-time basis (36.75 hours per fortnight) for 12 months.

**Duties**:

- Provide leadership and direction to a small team of staff and volunteers for the Narryna Heritage Museum.
- Contribute to, implement and monitor a range of strategic and operational plans _developed by the Narryna Council_, that include financial strategy, budgets, funding, and sustainability measures in support of the operations related to public and educational programs, marketing and promotions, and community and audience development for Narryna Heritage Museum.
- Develop and maintain effective communication with stakeholders and other museum organisations across Tasmania, playing an active role in relationship management.
- Consult with specialist TMAG staff to provide advice and recommendations in relation to collection development and care.
- Contribute to, and ensure effective implementation of, the development of exhibitions, education, marketing, promotions and customer service procedures, policies and projects.
- Provide high-level advice to management and other key external stakeholders and prepare general performance and detailed research reports as appropriate.
- Develop documentation and undertake procurement for goods and services.

The Department of State Growth has determined that this role is identified as undertaking child related regulated activities in-line with the definitions of the Registration to Work with Vulnerable People Act 2013, and as such any occupant of this role will require a current Working with Vulnerable People registration. As this registration is an essential requirement of this role it must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in the role. The status of the registration may be checked at any time during employment. **Desirable Requirements**:

- Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of the operations of a contemporary cultural institution
- Successful record managing audience development and customer satisfaction
- Knowledge and capacity to manage complex projects
- A current motor vehicle driver's licence.
