**The Company**
Norman R. Wright & Sons is one of the longest-standing and renowned companies in the Australian boat building industry and operates out of a purpose-built facility adjacent to the Rivergate Marina Complex at Murarrie, Brisbane.
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Accounts/Admin Officer to join our small, friendly office team on a full-time basis.
**The Role**
Supporting the Office Manager, this role will encompass all aspects of accounts and office administration.
**Accounts Payable**
Oversee and assist in the daily AP function
- Raising of purchase orders, invoice entry, monthly reconciliations, payment processing and supplier maintenance.
**Payroll**
- Daily entry of timesheets
- Weekly processing of payroll (40 staff)
- Employee and payroll administration including employee set-up, leave reconciliations, superannuation, apprentice and Workcover administration.
**Accounts Receivable**
- Project invoicing
- Debtor review and follow-up
**Financial Reporting**
- Weekly and monthly bank reconciliations
- Management and reporting of weekly cashflow
- Assist the Office Manager with monthly and EOY reconciliations and reporting
**Office and Project administration**
- Preparation of quotes, set-up and maintenance of projects in the job management system.
- Ensure accurate allocation of costs to projects and prepare ad-hoc reports as required
- General office administration tasks - archiving, stationery etc
Ideally, the successful applicant will possess the following:
- A minimum of 2 years' Accounts Payable experience with a sound knowledge of accounting principles (essential)
- Previous payroll experience (preferred)
- Experience working with MYOB AccountRight (essential)
- Previous experience in the manufacturing or construction industries (desirable)
- Intermediate Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook knowledge
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organised and methodical
- Ability to multi-task and a willingness to work flexibly in response to changing operational requirements
- Professional written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with all internal and external stakeholders
- A strong work ethic and positive attitude are a must
