This is supported by its StewardshipFirst program, a comprehensive suite of whole‐of‐lifecycle stewardship and best practice initiatives and programs for the plant science industry's products, which makes CropLife a global leader in industry stewardship. The StewardshipFirst program includes CropLife's mandatory code of conduct for members, resistance management strategies for herbicides, insecticides and fungicides, the spray drift and best practice management initiatives SprayBest and MyAgCHEMuse, and the Pollinator Protection Initiative, which includes BeeConnected and the Seed Treatment Stewardship Strategy.Major responsibilities for the role include:Develop new stewardship and sustainability policy and project solutions and initiatives, and manage existing stewardship programsMaintain and update existing stewardship programs and initiativesDevelop advocacy strategies for CropLife's industry stewardship public policy goalsDevelop high‐level submissions for parliamentary committees and briefing materials for parliamentarians, ministerial advisers and senior public servants on legislative, regulatory and technical issues associated with industry stewardshipParticipation in industry advocacy, representation and liaison activities with government, community and industry groupsMaintain and implement the industry stewardship components of CropLife's Strategic Operational Plan.The Director of Stewardship and Sustainability Policy reports to CropLife's Chief Executive Officer and works in cooperation with other CropLife policy and operational directors, international colleagues and our member companies.
