Electrical Engineer – Aurizon
Join Aurizon as an Electrical Engineer to support the delivery of rail projects focused on Construction Management and Engineering Support for High Voltage Overhead and Power Systems.

About the role
Organise and plan construction works and associated technical aspects of projects, including managing cost estimates, internal and external resource requirements, material requirements, integration with other work groups, staging requirements and construction programmes.
Monitor construction activities to ensure they comply with design documentation, standards, specifications, and the safe operation of Aurizon's Rail Network.
Organise and prepare associated quality & certification documentation.
Manage technical issues and support day-to-day construction and operational activities.
Contribute to the development and review of technical aspects and strategies for new technologies and techniques applicable to Railway Traction systems/networks.
Identify requirements for new processes and standards and contribute to the implementation of new standards, specifications and work practices.
Flexible roster to suit project/business needs.
Travel required across Central Queensland Coal Network.
About you
Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
3-5 postgraduate years' engineering experience in rail, mining, operations or infrastructure projects (preferred).
RPEQ Engineers considered for a Project Engineer role based on experience.
Class C driver's licence (mandatory).
Previous experience in railway traction, distribution or transmission construction/renewal projects (advantageous).
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and ability to negotiate/influence stakeholders.
High level of skill in developing technical, design, construction and maintenance engineering solutions and applying new technology and techniques.
High level of skill in planning, organising and programming infrastructure construction projects.
Willingness to travel for role as required; mix of office and field based work.
Willingness to complete pre-employment medical testing.
