On a spectacular waterfront location in the heart of the Rocks, 6 HEAD is the newest 'Premium Steakhouse Restaurant' in a well-established boutique hospitality company.
We are looking for you You are someone who excels and enjoys serving large cover numbers while still maintaining uncompromising beverage service standards.
We require talented Sommeliers to join our team of hospitality professionals, to immerse yourself with-in an in-depth, quality training program and help launch our brand-new restaurant concept. You'll be working within an extensive, premium beverage offering, plus a 280-bottle wine list, predominantly Australian with New Zealand & International Brands from France, Italy, Argentina and the United States, matched with a refined menu all delivered by our "A" team through and beyond a challenging new restaurant opening.
Key Objective:
To help development, and maintain a superior level of Wine & Beverage service and product standards to ensure the ultimate level of customer satisfaction.
Day to day responsibilities:
* Providing guests with a superior level of Wine & Beverage knowledge to enhance customer satisfaction within their 6 HEAD dining experience.
* Help lead, develop & educate the Beverage Team on a day to day basis.
* To support the 6 HEAD floor team in delivering efficient Wine & Beverage service in line with the 6 HEAD sequence of service.
* Assisting the floor team in increasing spend per head through maximising Wine & Beverage sales and upselling premium products.
* Ensuring all 6 HEAD Wine & Beverages served are of the utmost quality, presentation & respect.
* Working closely with the Bar Team ensuring stock control & delivering quality beverages.
* Facilitating customer feedback to management in a timely & effective manner.
* Assisting the management team in stock control by efficiently recording and reducing beverage wastage.
* Stocktake duties with the Bar & Beverage teams.
* Assist with all Wine & Beverage ordering, cellar & cool room maintenance & stocktaking.
* Glassware & decanter maintenance with 'Riedel' and glass training with staff
* Any other relevant duties as directed by management
What are we looking for?
* Premium Wine & Beverage Experience an Advantage
* WSET Level 2 an Advantage
* CMS Sommeliers Course an advantage – Introductory / Certified
* Effective planning and time management skills
* Problem solving and decision-making skills
* Interpersonal, organizational and presentation skills
* Advanced communication skills, both written and verbal
* Current RSA Certificate/Competency Card
* Exceptional personal hygiene and presentation
* Service experience, interest, skill and success in the restaurant industry
