The company is known for its strong presence in the sector and its commitment to maintaining high standards in financial management and reporting.ResponsibilitiesThe Senior Tax and Finance Advisor will be responsible for the following but not be limited to:Preparation of the Consolidated income tax returnManage transfer pricing complianceManage GST complianceManage the preparation and lodgement of the FBT returnMonitoring Australian tax instalments and other tax payment requirementsManage the tax reporting requirements including preparation of periodic tax calculationsPreparation of on-going Shareholder reporting obligationsLiaise with the Australian Taxation Office, to manage tax related issuesTax advisory: Advise on tax structures, tax implications for potential M&A; etc.Prepare tax technical papers as requiredAd hoc project workThe Successful ApplicantQualificationsA degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional tax qualifications or equivalent experience.Experience in a similar roleCPA, CA, CTA or relevant qualificationStrong communication skillsStrong knowledge of Australian tax laws and regulations.Proficiency in accounting software and tax preparation tools.Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.Effective communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders.What's on OfferA temporary role offering flexibility and variety in Melbourne.Prospect to work within the Energy & Natural Resources industry.Exposure to a large organisation with a strong market presence.A chance to showcase and further develop your tax expertise.Opportunity for permanency based on fit and performance
