About the Role
The Transport Network Operations branch are recruiting multiple positions for a Level 3 & Level 4 Civil Field Worker.
The Transport Network Operations branch provides high-level maintenance, construction and asset management services for roads and related infrastructure.
As a Civil Field Worker, you’ll:
- Carry out civil construction and maintenance tasks including concreting, kerb and channel, stormwater drainage, roads, bridges and roadside assets
- Operate and maintain Council machinery and equipment
- Ensure compliance with WH&S; and environmental standards
- Complete daily documentation and report operational matters
- Work effectively as part of a high-performing team
- Provide on-the-job coaching to trainees and new staff
- Deliver quality customer service and identify improvements in work practices
About you
As a hands‑on qualified, you will:
- Hold a General Safety Induction (Blue Card)
- Have a current C Class Driver’s Licence
- Be physically fit for labouring and heavy lifting tasks
- Demonstrate teamwork, problem‑solving and communication skills
Essential to your success is physical agility and the level of fitness, strength and dexterity to carry out labouring and frequent heavy lifting & bending. As such, appointment to this position is subject to completion of a pre‑employment medical assessment.
