Project
CPB Constructors, in Alliance with Sedgman, SC Joint Venture (SCJV), has been selected by BHP to undertake the Western Ridge Crusher Project. It includes a new primary crusher, a 12-kilometre overland conveyor, radial stacker and stockpiling systems with a capacity of 30Mtpa. The project is on Nyiyaparli Country, about 21 kilometres southwest of Newman, WA. Works commenced and run through mid-2026.
Your opportunity
Join CPB Contractors as a full-time employee and contribute to the success of one of Australia’s largest contractors. Work on a fly-in-fly-out (FIFO) basis with a balanced 20 days on and 8 days off schedule. We have opportunities for experienced SMP Mechanical Fitters.
Minimum requirements for this role
- Certificate III Mechanical Fitter trade certificate and/or Australian recognized trade certificate
- Completed Fire Extinguisher Training (PUAWER008B or CPPFES2005A or MSAPMOHS212A)
- Australian Driver’s Licence
- Construction site experience in a similar FIFO role, 3-5 years minimum
- Hold a High Risk EWP & WAH ticket (desirable)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing environments
- Strong safety awareness
