Inner West Council is hosting traineeships with GTO Ability Advocates Australia to recruit trainees within multiple areas of Council core business as part of the Inclusive Traineeship Program 2026. This is a paid, 12-month traineeship, designed for people with disability who are looking to start or restart their career in a structured, supportive office environment. Kickstart your career in Business Administration with Inner West Council. This hands-on role lets you earn while you learn, gaining valuable skills while completing a Certificate III in Business Administration (BSB30120) in our Government Information Public Access (GIPA) team. Over the next 12 months, you’ll be part of a fully supported program that blends on-the-job training with online learning. You’ll be part of a team delivering high-quality public access to information services while building valuable skills for your future. Guided by a clear training plan, you’ll work towards key competencies, complete assessments, and track your progress as you grow your career. In this role, you will help ensure the community has appropriate access to information while protecting privacy and strengthening ethical decision-making across Council. Your work will contribute to building strong governance practices that support Councillors, staff, and the community, helping create an organisation that operates with integrity, professionalism, and confidence.
