The Role (Maternity Leave Backfill): The Manager, Community Investment and Grants, delivers expert and strategic advice to support the delivery of public open space projects and promotes the role of good design in contributing to healthy neighbourhoods.
The role is responsible for the Planning property portfolio and provides direction for projects and programs relating to Minister's property assets, agreements, licences and stakeholder services.
The role determines ongoing business system improvements and design frameworks to support the delivery of the Fund.
The role establishes appropriate project governance and controls, develops and delivers reports, briefings and advice to senior management, executive, business and technical stakeholders.
You will hold the following responsibilities: Manage comprehensive reports to the Minister and Executive on the progress and outcomes of all grants and property, including risk management, to resolve complex development or governance issues.
Deliver property advice to the Minister and Executive on the management and progress of strategic land disposals across the portfolio.
Manage expenditure and budget for the Fund, including liaising with Finance counterparts across Government.
Resolve complex issues by taking a proactive approach to pre-empting, identifying and de-escalating risks and dependencies.
Provide expert knowledge, high-quality analysis, and recommendations regarding incoming funding proposals and their strategic, legislative, financial and policy-based alignment to ensure decision making that meets the Government's requirements.
About You: To be successful in this position, you must be able to demonstrate experience across the following key capabilities: Demonstrated ability in leading business processes changes and improvements across an organisation to enable successful execution of projects and programs of work.
Experienced in leading and managing direct and indirect resource allocation and utilisation across a pool of resources and agencies.
Excellent demonstrated leadership capabilities within an organisation.
Demonstrated highly effective and influential written, verbal communication and interpersonal skills to expertly negotiate and liaise with senior and executive management.
Highly experienced in preparing concise written reports, proposals, recommendations and briefings.
Experienced in managing a Fund or grant programs within a government or corporate environment.
Desirable Qualification: Qualification in planning, design, architecture, project management or a related field.
Special Conditions Successful applicants may be required to obtain a satisfactory Department of Human Services Criminal History Check or National Police Check prior to employment.
A renewal will be required every 3 years.
Remuneration: MAS3 – $127,859 per annum.
