Our client is one of the world leading testing, inspection and certification company. They are currently seeking for a FIFO Lab Technician (Fire Assay) to join their energetic team in South Australia.

**About the role**
- Perform sample preparation and fire assay procedures
- All aspects of the fire assay process including weighing, fluxing, pouring, de-slagging, cupellation and prilling
- Perform routine preventative, maintain fire assay and sample preparation equipment
- Understanding of the hazardous nature of lead (flux) with a safe manner
- Delivery of quality samples
- Daily reporting of results
- Support site systems including CCLAS LIMS
- Other duties as required including but not limited to Sample preparation.
**Skills and Experience**
- Academic background of Chemistry, Science or related discipline
- Certificate in laboratory skills is highly preferred
- Fire Assay experience, or laboratory experience
- Proficient use of MS Word, Excel
- Understanding of sample preparation procedures and fire assay methods and recognition of sample types
- Understanding/prior use of LIMS software
- Good numerical, communication, organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrate strong personal commitment to personal & team safety
- Strong personal commitment to environment protection
- Strong attention to detail
- Good communication skills
- Developed interpersonal skills and strong customer and team focus.
