One full time vacancy is available, either ongoing or fixed for 18 months
As the sole health professional onsite, you will work collaboratively with the Remote Outreach Consultant Centre and Medical Retrieval and Consultation Centre to meet the health needs of persons detained in the police watch house, providing police professionals with advice on the management of persons in custody.
You will have extensive clinical experience working in professional isolation (e.g. remote area nursing including emergency nursing, custodial care nursing) to effectively triage, manage and monitor acute and chronic health needs of persons detained in the police watch house, ensuring all persons are 'Fit for Custody'.
The successful applicant must have current registration with Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (or eligible for same), a Northern Territory Drivers license and meet the Police, Fire and Emergency Services security clearance requirements.
