Assistant Professor of Biomedical Science (Full‐Time, Tenure‐Track)
Starting August 2026, the Department of Biomedical Engineering and Science at Florida Institute of Technology invites applications for this full‐time tenure‐track Assistant Professor position in the Biomedical Science Program.
Job Overview
- Teaching (40%): Deliver undergraduate and graduate courses, develop curriculum.
- Research (40%): Build a nationally recognized, externally funded research program aligned with the department's majors (Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences).
- Service (20%): Contribute to the department, university, and professional community through service.
Qualifications
- A Ph.D. in Biomedical Science or a closely related field is required.
- Documented record of teaching excellence and commitment to undergraduate and graduate education.
- Strong research record and ability to secure external funding.
- Research interests aligned with Cell Biology, Genetics, Biochemistry, or Biomedical Sciences.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
