Home Safety Specialist - Newcastle Fixed Term 12 months


Allianz Partners is seeking a knowledgeable and compassionate Home Safety Specialist to assess, identify, and implement safety solutions that reduce hazards and enhance the safety and well-being of individuals in their homes. This role is ideal for someone with a trade qualification who has experience in maintenance, safety, risk assessments, and WHS, committed to creating safer living environments for families, seniors, and individual policy holders.


Overview


Position: Home Safety Specialist – Newcastle (Fixed Term 12 months)


Responsibilities

* Conduct comprehensive home safety assessments to identify potential risks and hazards (e.g., faulty flexi hoses, fire, poor lighting, electrical issues, home maintenance issues).
* Provide clients with tailored safety recommendations and solutions.
* Coordinate the installation of equipment such as flexi-hoses, smoke detectors and perform minor home maintenance tasks.
* Educate clients and families on best practices for maintaining a safe home environment.
* Collaborate with schedulers, policy holders and contractors as needed.
* Maintain detailed reports and documentation of assessments, recommendations, and follow-ups.
* Stay up-to-date on local building codes, safety regulations, and best practices in home safety and accessibility.
* Offer ongoing support and periodic reassessments to ensure safety.

Key Requirements

* Experience scheduling jobs, tradesmen or services
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
* Strong knowledge and understanding of risk assessments and WHS
* Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
* Considerable knowledge of efficient and time-effective bookings
* Knowledge of trades industry terminology and workflow
