The Children, Youth and Families Division of the Health and Community Services Directorate (HCSD) are seeking a detail-oriented Reportable Conduct Investigator to join our team. In this role, you will: Conduct thorough investigations into Reportable Conduct matters. Share Child Protection information in accordance with the Children and Young People Act 2008, particularly for Reportable Conduct investigations and Working with Vulnerable People applications. Act as the central coordination point between CYF and designated entities, including the out-of-homecare sector, to ensure alignment between legislative processes and the ACT Reportable Conduct Scheme. Strengthen policy and practice across the division to improve outcomes for children and young people. Liaise with key stakeholders such as the ACT Ombudsman’s Office, the ACT Commissioner for Fair Trading. For further details please see the attached Position Description. Eligibility/Other Requirements: At least five years of practical experience working with children, young people and their carers or families and or equivalent work experience in investigations. Experience and/or a desire to work in a community services environment is essential. Current (C class) driver’s license is essential. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Investigations or related discipline is desirable but not essential. Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required.
