**Job Summary:**
The Maternal and Child Health (MCH) Nurse will provide comprehensive health services to children from birth to school age and their families within the community.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be passionate about delivering MCH services, inclusive of universal and enhanced programs. Key responsibilities include promoting health and development, prevention, early detection of, and intervention for physical, emotional, and social factors affecting young children and their families.
* Requirements:
* Current registration with APHRA as a Registered Nurse Division 1, Registered Midwife, and hold a tertiary qualification in Child, Family & Community Health or equivalent.
* Demonstrated knowledge of MCH evidence-based practice including up-to-date theoretical and practical knowledge of women's health, family and child health and development, and relevant community resources.
* Commitment to maintaining a positive and enjoyable workplace culture that promotes access and participation, responsive service delivery, and culturally competent service to optimise health and wellbeing outcomes for the child, parent, and family.
Mandatory Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you must undergo and complete a satisfactory criminal history check and obtain an employment-based Working with Children check.
