A Margaret River practice is offering a unique opportunity for a senior general practitioner to join a thriving rural practice. The practice will consider applicants seeking full time or part time options.
The practice supports patients from surrounding areas including Augusta, Witchcliffe, Vasse, Busselton, and Dunsborough and operates an additional clinic just 10 minutes away, in the rapidly developing town of Cowaramup.
Margaret River is a bustling hub, surrounded by beautiful beaches, forests, wineries, and so much more. The town has a population of 18,620 at June 2023 and swells significantly over the summer months. The town is located a comfortable 270kms from Perth.
The Practice
The private practice is owned by general practitioners and includes a team of 16 doctors. This family-friendly environment warmly welcomes new members, offering full support from the practice manager, practice nurses, and administrative staff.
The practice covers anaesthetics, antenatal and post natal care, skin checks and minor procedures, as well as all aspects of general medicine.
There is no requirement to work in ED or be on-call, however the practice has GPs who do participate. Home visits are rare (GP preference) however many of our team offer support to the local residential aged care facility providing care to patients who require the continued support of their GP once they progress to this level of care.
Our Requirements
* Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) or Fellow of the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (FACRRM)
* Full registration with AHPRA
* The branch practice at Cowaramup is open Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
* The branch practice at Margaret River is open Monday-Friday 7:30am–5:30pm, Saturday 8:30am–12:30pm

* Hospital on-call - 95% of receipted billings
* Nursing home, home visits and inpatient services - 75% of receipted billings
