**We are currently seeking a safety officer for an ongoing role in Sydney**
**_ABOUT THE ROLE:_**
- Nearing the near end of completion, we require a safety officer for a class 2 project to oversee all worksite safety tasks._
**_JOB SPECIFICATION:_**
**_Duties will include:_**
- _Operate sites with a best practice approach to health and safety. Observe and demonstrate safe work practices and ensure all suppliers and subcontractors do the same._
- _Ensure compliance with relevant WH&S; legislation and other industry requirements._
- _Provide professional advice and service to all areas of operation._
- _Provide internal safety observations, audits and workplace inspections._
- _Participate in Safety, Health and Setting compliance audits._
- _Facilitate inductions and safety meetings._
- _Maintain overall quality assurance whilst ensuring building compliance._
- _Maintain and monitor all environmental site-specific issues._
- _Immediately notify the Site Manager on issues likely to have a substantial impact on operations._
