Electrical Infrastructure Specialist
We are seeking a highly motivated and results-driven Electrical Infrastructure Specialist to lead the development of project scope for electrical and lighting projects.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in designing and constructing electrical infrastructure, with a proactive approach to driving innovation and excellence across all phases of electrical infrastructure development.
About This Role
As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for leading the development of project scope, ensuring alignment with client requirements and industry standards.
* Designing lighting and electrical design systems using relevant design software.
* Providing technical support to assist with current and upcoming design commitments.
* Performing detailed assessments of public lighting systems, offering expert technical advice to internal and external stakeholders.
* Reviewing electrical design drawings prepared by external consultants, ensuring adherence to design standards, regulations, and project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
1. Lead the development of project scope for electrical and lighting projects.
2. Provide technical support to the Certifying Specialist Engineer.
3. Design of lighting and electrical design systems.
4. Perform detailed assessments of public lighting systems.
5. Review electrical design drawings.
6. Evaluate the electrical infrastructure associated with council-owned assets.
7. Develop clear and comprehensive technical specifications for public lighting and electrical services.
8. Conduct detailed assessments of existing electrical infrastructure.
Qualifications & Skills
* Bachelor Degree of Engineering (extensive experience in electrical design – minimum of 5 years)
* Registered Professional Engineer QLD (RPEQ) – Electrical (Desirable)
* WHS General Construction White Card (Desirable)
* Current C Class Drivers Licence
