About the Role We are keen to hire a passionate, dedicated, and creative full-time Chef to help deliver high quality food in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. It is also essential that the applicant must possess a tertiary qualification relevant to the position, has excellent communication skills, and can work independently while being a team player. The candidate must have a minimum of two (2)years experience working in a similar role and is willing to prepare and present food of all the items on the menu with high quality; collaborate on the menu planning; prepare orders received, order, receive, and store food ingredients and supplies for the kitchen.
Key Responsibilities ? Prepare and present high-quality meals during service using fresh, premium ingredients. ? Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, infection control, and cleanliness in accordance with company policies and relevant food safety regulations.
? Analyse recipes and assist with costing and pricing of menu items, taking into account food, labour, and supply costs. ? Monitor the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure consistency, freshness, and compliance with required standards. ? Demonstrate cooking techniques and the proper use of kitchen equipment to junior staff and other team members.
? Manage stock control, including monitoring inventory levels, ordering supplies, and minimising wastage. Ideal applicant will have: ? Must hold a Diploma level qualification relevant to the role ?
At least two (2) years of proven chef experience ? Attention to detail ? Strong communication and organisational skills ?
