The Opportunity We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Key Account Manager to join our ANZ Team Sales team on a full-time permanent basis. Reporting to the Grocery National Business Manager, the primary purpose of this position is to: The Key Account Manager (KAM) is accountable for the implementation of the company’s trade strategy and execution with set customers (Woolworths & Coles) for the Medicinal category: promotional programs, range management, customer marketing and sales planning to deliver company targets of NSV, GP and market share. To pursue New Business opportunities with Alternate Channels & Customers for all categories. For instance, with Hardware, Baby & Beauty retailers. To provide support to the Grocery National Business Manager of the assigned customers (Woolworths & Coles) as required. The sales results will be driven through category & customer planning with mutually agreed objectives & strategies. To help deliver planned financial performance of the assigned customers (Woolworths, Coles) as well as for New Business Opportunities. Accountable for all key sales metrics, including; NSV ASP Distribution Service Levels Profitability To identify new opportunities for profitable growth that are consistent with both the retailers’ and the company’s strategic aims. Develop & implement a strategic, customer specific business plan that achieves all mutually agreed targets set out for defined portfolios including but not exclusive to: Medicinal (Woolworths & Coles) Skincare, Suncare, Haircare, Baby (Alternate Channels & Customers) Set out required trade spend levels and then manage within the agreed guidelines. To provide support to the Grocery National Business Manager of the assigned customers (Woolworths & Coles) as required; Perform customer performance & promotional analysis Provide forecasting support Design and submit promotional programs Load new products & pricing Attend customer events as required Act as a secondary point of contact for any customer requests Lead the coordination and development of internal cross functional initiatives in supply chain, finance & marketing with the customer. Communicate the overall customer category vision & key goals with both marketing & other teams during the planning process and ensure penetration and distribution in ALL outlets associated to these customers. Consolidate customer & consumer promotional activity for optimal return, based on consistent evaluation of commercial spend. Ensure range/SKU optimisation. Drive demand fulfilment through effective allocation of priorities, active participation in S&OP discussions and consolidating and owning demand forecasts. About You To be successful in this role you will possess Key Account Management in FMCG, Healthcare or Pharmaceutical industry experience. Previous in a similar roles will also be considered. Other key requirements for this role include: Key account experience is essential (Grocery account experience is preferred) In-depth understanding of retail customers and consumers A solid understanding of business management & finance principles Understanding of demand planning and S&OP processes Knowledge of the range review process Experience working with Woolworths & Coles is desirable Strong communication skills (both oral and written) Computer literacy with Microsoft Office products is essential Tertiary qualifications preferred (Business/Commerce) Strong time management skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects at the one time Ability to prepare & present professionally for key meetings and presentations Excellent negotiation skills and the ability to influence others at all levels Ability to analyse data/market information and to draw actionable conclusions from the analysis Ability to take a constructive and innovative approach to problem solving and to devise alternative solutions The ability to convene and facilitate cross-functional team meetings Build relationships at all levels of an organisation (internal/external) Prepare annual business plans and sales strategy Manage a trade spend budget with major key account (Coles, Woolworths, or overseas equivalent) Conduct basic negotiations with buyers i.e. range, shelf, pricing and merchandising Assist in the development and execution of launch campaigns Assist with the development of Planograms for retail customers Diversity and Inclusion iNova is an Equal Opportunity employer.
