This is a permanent part-time position commencing December 2025.

Statewide Services provides the services and supports required by schools to enable student achievement, with a focus on those students and schools that need it most. It encompasses both school and system-facing service delivery. While it primarily exists to support schools, it also has an important system-facing role supporting strategy and policy development.
The Role
As an Administrative Assistant, you will provide essential support to the organisation, using advanced features in Microsoft products to create professional documents, brochures, spreadsheets, charts, and tables. You'll handle incoming telephone calls and visitor enquiries, manage correspondence, and assist in the preparation of reports and routine responses. Your attention to detail will be critical in maintaining accurate records, coordinating office logistics, and supporting professional learning events and workshops. You'll also play a key role in monitoring workflows to ensure deadlines are met, preparing and distributing agendas, taking minutes, and coordinating follow-up actions.
In this role, you'll collaborate with stakeholders to support services, projects, and programs, ensuring integrated service delivery across business units. You will also assist managerial staff with financial and procurement tasks, including reconciling credit card expenditures and monitoring budgets. With a focus on effective recordkeeping, you'll maintain databases in line with the State Recordkeeping Act 2000, ensuring compliance and accessibility. Your ability to work productively and respectfully with diverse teams will be essential to your success in this dynamic environment.

* Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office suite in clerical and general administrative duties, including advanced word processing skills and proficiency with spreadsheets and databases and experience using an electronic records management system.
* Demonstrated good written, oral communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise effectively with a wide range of individuals and provide customer-focussed services.
* Demonstrated experience in purchasing, processing accounts for payment and monitoring expenditure for a work unit.
* Demonstrated initiative and good organisational skills with the ability to meet competing priorities in a fast-paced business environment.
