- Classification: Registered Nurse Level 2 with a salary range of $100,064 - $105,123 per annum (pro rata) + Superannuation

About your new role
The Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC) Darwin serves as a key access point for adults experiencing psychological distress, mental health crisis, or heightened suicide risk. The Centre provides walk‑in support and accepts referrals from GPs, public mental health services, community organisations, and self‑referrals, ensuring timely and inclusive access to care.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be an integral member of a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high‑quality, person‑centred care to individuals accessing the Centre. Drawing on your expertise in mental health recovery and crisis intervention, you will help instil confidence and hope, supporting consumers on their journey toward wellness.
In this role, you will collaborate with colleagues to provide a range of supports, including clinical care, social and emotional wellbeing, psychosocial assistance, and peer support. Your work will focus on individuals experiencing mental health crises and/or emotional distress, ensuring care is tailored to their unique needs.
Service delivery will be guided by the principles of Trauma‑Informed Care and Recovery‑Oriented Practice, underpinned by extensive co‑design processes to ensure consumer involvement and empowerment.
This position requires participation in a rotating roster, including day, evening, and weekend shifts.

What you will bring to the role
- Formal tertiary qualifications in Nursing
- Current full registration as an Enrolled Nurse / Registered Nurse / Nurse Practitioner with current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Strong knowledge of mental health conditions, treatments, and recovery models
- Skilled in crisis intervention and risk assessment
- 2 years’ experience in mental health practice and a relevant post‑registration and/or tertiary qualification in mental health nursing is highly desirable
