The role of Business Development Manager involves a healthy balance between work and personal life, along with collaboration within a supportive community. The position will work under limited direction to perform moderately complex operations, administrative tasks and commercial activities as part of an integrated workforce.
Key deliverables include:
* Contract development activities in accordance with the Capability Acquisition Sustainment (CASG) Business Management System;
* Leading and supporting commercial elements of the capability lifecycle, including procurement planning, tendering and contract formation, contract management and closure of contracts ensuring compliance with legislation, procurement policies, processes and procedures across all contract development and management activities;
* Collaboration with other entities such as Materiel Procurement Branch, Financial Investigative Services / Commercial and Financial Analysis / Defence Finance Group and Defence Legal;
* Research on commercial policy issues, legal investigation, technical and other requirements to support contract management outcomes;
Supporting team members through mentoring, guidance and training is also a key aspect of this role.
This role offers opportunities for engagement with stakeholders and subject matter experts, facilitating desired outcomes. Key objectives include meeting mandatory policy compliance obligations, critical commercial risk and performance requirements, and executing Aerospace Combat Systems Branch tasks efficiently.
