Family Violence Specialist Role
This part-time position involves working with adult victim survivors and children to assess risks and provide outreach services in accordance with the MARAM framework. The successful applicant will also support a team environment and participate in supervision and reflective practice.
About You
To be eligible for this role, you must have a minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or an equivalent qualification through the 7 Equivalency Principles. Additionally, you should have a strong understanding of the gendered nature of family violence and its impact on women and their children.
* You should be able to reflect and analyze complex situations arising in specialist family violence casework.
* This role requires collaboration with other agencies and the community, so it's essential to be committed to working together towards best outcomes for victim survivors.
Responsibilities
Your key responsibilities will include:
* Completing comprehensive risk assessments with adult victim survivors and children.
* Providing outreach to victims' families inclusive of their children.
* Supporting the broader Specialist Family Violence Response – Communities team as required.
