Join The Artisans Bottega as a Store Assistant and dive into the dynamic world of DIY Italian food and beverage equipment. We are a family-owned business that evolved from a Wine Equipment supplier to a full-blown Italian Equipment store, boasting two physical stores, a warehouse, and an online store.
This role is pivotal in increasing sales in the store by restocking, displaying, pricing, cleaning, learning our products, using our POS system, and attending to customers.
This position is ideal for people who like to work as the shift is full-on. Our stores are warehouse environment, which means a kind of industrial attire (safety shoes preferable). We have busy sales days with customers, phone inquiries, online orders, refilling, transfers, regular use of ladders, walking the whole shift, and lifting up to 25 kg to trolleys.
Responsibilities:
* Sales of equipment, consumables, and specific goods (Technical/consultative information will be provided)
* Attending customers queries
* Perform all retail floor functions including but not limited to sales, answering phones, refilling, displaying, cleaning, dusting, labeling/pricing products, controlling the inventory (cycle stock takes), managing our POS systems and other systems, following procedures daily, etc.
* This role implies standing for extended periods, climbing ladders, heavy restocking and retrieving merchandise, cash handling, unloading transfers (pallets, crates), using trolleys and pallet jacks.
* Active learning of our products, sales techniques, software, and systems (procedures). Able to gain knowledge of products and equipment day by day. Also, about food and beverage processes, which will provide you with added sales confidence.
* Excellent English and manners to attend phone inquiries
Requirements:

* Experience managing sales and attending customer queries
* Experience using POS system, managing cash, Eftpos machines
* Experience restocking, pricing, cleaning, and keeping store areas and products full in shelving and well displayed.
* Experience/knowledge in food/beverage making processes: Meat processing (Salami, Capocollo, Sausage, etc), cheese, brewing, wine, pasta, sauce, preserving. (Advantageous)
* Ability to work autonomously and/or within a group. Always pushing the boundary – Go for it
* This position will require availability for some weekends and public holidays. The roster might change week to week
