SVS Management Group is a longstanding small accounting firm located in Yarra Glen in the Yarra Valley, providing our clients with a diverse range of knowledge in Accounting, Taxation, Business & Self Managed Super Fund services.
About the role
We are seeking an enthusiastic, experienced and committed full time Senior Accountant to join our team! This role is particularly suited to someone with demonstrated public practice experience, who enjoys managing multiple client files and working closely with clients on an ongoing basis.
Key Responsibilities
· Assist in preparing Financial Statements & Income Tax Returns for Individuals, Sole Traders, Partnership, Companies, Trusts and Self Managed Super Funds
· Assisting with BAS and other compliance requirements
* Undertake tax planning exercises for clients
* Liaising directly with clients and statutory authorities
· Managing bookkeeping for clients on monthly or quarterly arrangements mostly in Computerised software MYOB, QuickBooks & Xero
The successful candidate will ideally have:
* Qualified CPA, CA or IPA accredited
* Previous experience as a senior accountant or similar in a local public accounting practice, with sound accounting and taxation knowledge
* Experience with more complex tax specialist areas such as Div7a and Capital Gains Tax
* Experience using MYOB, XERO (essential) and other accounting software
* Proven experience helping clients at all levels in setting up how they can achieve their financial needs/goals.
* Ability to work independently on a wide range of clients with a high attention to detail & accuracy
* A professional manner with a practical, common-sense approach to work.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
