Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Anaesthesia Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team in providing excellent patient care within our hospital.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing clinical anaesthesia for surgical patients requiring advanced pain management and other hospital patients who require the assistance of a consultant anaesthetist.
In addition, they will contribute to the professional development of senior and junior medical staff, supervise and teach rotational provisional fellows, registrars and JMOs in the department, and work in collaboration with the Director of Anaesthesia to improve service delivery and patient management.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* A Primary Medical Degree registrable by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Fellowship of the Australia & New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
* Demonstrated capacity in efficient and effective patient management.
* Commitment to undergraduate and postgraduate teaching in medicine, nursing and allied health.
* Demonstrated ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
* Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement.
* Adaptability in use of medical IT applications e.g. electronic medical records & prescribing.
* Demonstrated commitment to own personal and professional development.
