The Position
The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting the delivery of projects from feasibility through to completion and settlement. Working closely with the Senior Construction Manager and Development Team, this role will coordinate consultants, manage project documentation and programs, and ensure quality outcomes in line with project objectives.
This role will play a key role in monitoring performance against feasibility, program, budget, and quality standards, while fostering productive relationships with consultants, contractors, authorities, and internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities include:
* Providing inputs into project feasibility in collaboration with the Development Manager.
* Updating feasibility inputs monthly and track/report expenditure against cost items.
* Assisting in managing and reporting on project contingency expenditure.
* Setting up and maintaining project programs using Microsoft Project (or similar), tracking key milestones and report on progress monthly.
* Supporting program adjustments to ensure projects remain on schedule.
* Requesting and reviewing consultant fee proposals, benchmark against market, and provide recommendations.
* Assisting with tender processes and procurement of builders & prepare and collate project documentation, including PPR and Contract Annexures.
* Assisting in securing planning approvals and/or secondary consents, managing the process for closing out conditions required prior to construction commencement.
* Attending PCG and site meetings, providing updates to the project team. & conducting site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance.
* Working with the Development Team to coordinate defect inspections of apartments and common areas.
* Providing inputs into monthly project reports (internal, JV, and/or PCG).
* Supporting the Development Team in achieving titles and managing the settlement process.
The Successful Candidate
We are looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
* 5 +/- years experience working within Project Management Consultancy or Construction Delivery
* Experience within large residential projects preferred
* Proven success managing head contracts
* Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Property, or Project Management.
* Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
* Analytical and detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving skills.
* Proactive, reliable, and collaborative, with a willingness to learn from senior team members.
* Calm and effective under pressure, with a commitment to quality and continuous improvement.
