Building Services | Melbourne
We are seeking an experienced Associate Mechanical Engineer to join our Melbourne Building Services team. This is a key leadership role, responsible for driving the delivery of medium to large-scale projects across a diverse portfolio, including defence, data centres, commercial and infrastructure.
The Role
In This Role, You Will
* Lead the mechanical design and delivery of medium to large-scale building services projects
* Take ownership of project outcomes from concept through to construction
* Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers across the team
* Manage project scope, programme and budget, ensuring successful delivery outcomes
* Coordinate closely with multidisciplinary teams, architects and external stakeholders
* Act as a trusted advisor to clients, building long‐term relationships and repeat work
* Review designs and documentation to ensure technical quality, compliance and constructability
About You
Please note: Australian citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects.
You Will Bring
* 10–12+ years' experience in mechanical building services engineering
* Proven experience leading medium to large-scale projects within a consultancy environment
* Strong technical capability across HVAC and mechanical systems
* Deep understanding of Australian Standards, NCC and authority requirements
* Demonstrated ability to manage projects, clients and multidisciplinary coordination
* Strong leadership skills with a passion for mentoring and developing others
* Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, client‐focused approach
